Rick Gabrillo has been a singer and music educator for over 20 years, teaching in private, public, and parochial schools at all grade levels throughout the greater Austin area. He is currently the Associate Conductor for Conspirare, a Grammy-winning choral ensemble based in Austin. As a singer, he performs regularly with Conspirare and has sung on almost every commercial recording to date. Rick has also performed with Vox Humana, Spire Chamber Ensemble, Texas Early Music Project, and the Norfolk Chamber Choir. He has been an invited lecturer on current topics of music education at regional, state, and national music conventions, including TMEA and ACDA. Rick conducted the Conspirare Symphonic Choir in 2016 in a performance of Annelies by James Whitbourn. He a was guest conductor for the Northeast Oklahoma Choral Directors Association (2014), the Crossroads Children’s Choir Festival in Nashville (2013), the Canto choral ensemble of Fredericksburg, TX (2012).

As a singer, he performs regularly with Conspirare and has sung on almost every commercial recording to date. He has also performed with Vox Humana, Spire Chamber Ensemble, Texas Early Music Project, and the Norfolk Chamber Choir.
He has been an invited lecturer on current topics of music education at regional, state, and national music conventions, including the Texas Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association. As a choral conductor, he most recently led the Conspirare Symphonic Choir in 2016 in a performance of Annelies by James Whitbourn. He was also a guest conductor for the Northeast Oklahoma Choral Directors Association (2014), the Crossroads Children’s Choir Festival in Nashville (2013), the Canto choral ensemble of Fredericksburg, TX (2012), and he was a fellow for the Chorus America Master Class series.
